Privacy policy

This privacy policy is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in German DSG). Where it applies, for example to people in the European Economic Area, we also observe the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible?

2. When you visit the website

When you open the website, our server automatically stores technical information: your IP address, date and time, the page you opened, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system. We need this to keep the website secure and stable and to fend off attacks. We do not combine this data with other data and delete it after our host’s usual period, unless we need it to investigate a security incident.

The website is hosted by Metanet AG in Switzerland. Fonts are loaded from our own server, there is no connection to Google Fonts. Which data we collect for statistics with your consent is described in section 7.

3. Our calculators

The loan calculator, the budget check and the consolidation calculator run only in your browser. What you enter there is not stored and not sent to us unless you send a request. So that the form can take over your last calculated values, your browser remembers amount and term until you close the window.

4. When you send a loan request

We then process what you enter in the form: your loan wish (amount, term, purpose), your personal details (title, name, date of birth, marital status, nationality, residence status), your housing situation and costs, details of your job, income, other commitments and debt enforcement, and your contact details.

After you send the form, we email you a confirmation with a copy of your details to the address you provided. The transmission is encrypted, but emails are then also stored in your mailbox and with your email provider. Emails are sent via the server of this domain.

Documents you attach: your ID, payslips, rental contract and anything else you add are combined into one PDF file directly in your browser. This file is not stored on the website. It is sent encrypted to our team by email and treated like your request, which means it is passed on to Handeys and the banks where this is needed for the assessment.

Purpose: to assess and arrange your loan request and to contact you. Legal basis: your consent and your request, on which we act.

Recipients: we pass your details to the credit intermediary Handeys GmbH (Handeys Finanzen), Bahnhofplatz 1, 5400 Baden. Handeys checks your request, advises you and passes it on to one or more lending partner banks in Switzerland. When assessing it, the banks obtain information from the Central Credit Information Office (ZEK), the consumer credit register (IKO) and debt enforcement offices. Their own privacy policies apply to their processing.

Storage: requests are deleted from our system automatically after 180 days. Statutory retention obligations remain reserved.

Withdrawal: you can withdraw your consent at any time by email to kontakt@yourloan.ch. This does not affect processing that has already taken place.

5. When you request an insurance consultation

We process your name, phone number, email address, postcode and town, the insurance topic you selected and your message, if you write one. We use this data to contact you and prepare the consultation.

Recipients: the insurance intermediary Ronny Schürch (FINMA F01174019) and NVC AG, Nauenstrasse 41, 4052 Basel, on whose behalf he acts. If you later decide to take out insurance, the insurer concerned receives the data it needs for the offer.

Legal basis: your consent. Storage: 180 days in our system, subject to statutory retention obligations.

6. WhatsApp

Our website has a button you can use to write to us on WhatsApp. You are only forwarded to WhatsApp when you tap it. WhatsApp belongs to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. If you write to us there, Meta and we process your phone number, your name and the content of your message. Data may be transferred to the USA. Please do not send payslips or ID copies via WhatsApp. The request form is meant for that.

7. Statistics with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity

To understand how our website is used and to improve it, we use Google Analytics 4. We only do this if you agree to the “Statistics” category in the cookie banner. Without your consent, no analytics cookies are set.

Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The parent company is Google LLC in the USA.

What is collected: which pages you open and for how long, how you arrived at the website, your approximate location at country or region level, device type, browser and screen size, and certain actions, for example whether you use the loan calculator or send a request. Your details from the request form, such as name, income or contact details, are not sent to Google. IP addresses are shortened, Google Analytics 4 does not store complete IP addresses.

Consent mode: we use Google’s consent mode. As long as you have not agreed, the website at most sends signals without cookies and without identifiers, for example that a page was viewed. Google can derive estimates from this, but cannot link them to you.

Google Tag Manager: to include Google Analytics, we use Google Tag Manager from the same provider. The Tag Manager itself does not set cookies or analyse data. It only makes sure that Google Analytics is loaded after your consent. Your IP address is transmitted to Google for this when the website loads.

Microsoft Clarity: to see where visitors get stuck on a page, we use Microsoft Clarity from Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, USA. Clarity records anonymously how the page is used, such as mouse movements, clicks and scrolling. Input in form fields is masked: Clarity sees neither names nor income nor contact details. The tool only runs if you agree to the “Statistics” category.

Storage: analytics data is deleted automatically after 14 months.

Transfers to the USA: data may be sent to servers of Google LLC or Microsoft Corporation in the USA. Both companies are certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses apply in addition.

Legal basis and withdrawal: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time via the cookie settings at the bottom of every page. More in the Google privacy policy and the Microsoft privacy statement.

8. Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools

With Google Search Console and Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools we see how our website appears in search results and whether there are technical errors. These services only evaluate search engine data. They do not set cookies on our website and do not collect data about you.

9. Cookies

We set technically necessary cookies without asking. Cookies for statistics are only set if you agree in the cookie banner. Your choice is stored by the Complianz plugin in a cookie in your browser. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings at the bottom of the website. Details are in our cookie policy. We do not use advertising or remarketing tools.

10. Security

All data is transmitted encrypted. To protect the website against attacks, we use the security plugin Wordfence from Defiant Inc. in the USA. IP addresses may be processed and compared with lists of known attackers. If data is transferred to the USA in the process, this is based on suitable safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Your rights

You can ask at any time which data we hold about you. You can have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing and ask for your data to be handed over. Under the GDPR you also have these rights if you live in the European Economic Area. You can lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, in German EDÖB) or, in the EEA, with your local supervisory authority. 12. Changes

We may update this privacy policy. The version published here always applies. In case of doubt, the legal assessment is based on Swiss law.
